8:00 PM
Come and explore a variety of innovative painting techniques developed by three incredibly groundbreaking artists who helped establish the Abstract Expressionism movement, including Lee Krasner and her expansive brushstrokes, Grace Hartigan and her thick panels of color, and Helen Frankenthaler and her soak and stain method. Join Robin Douglas for a brief lecture followed by a hands-on workshop where you can create a large-scale painting using one or all of the techniques pioneered by these forward-thinking artists. All supplies for your original artwork will be provided.
Limited space is available. This event will be held onsite at OMA in compliance with CDC, state, and county guidelines. Sanctioned social distancing will be followed and masks that cover both the nose and mouth are required to be worn at all times.
